In the past, the clergy used to handle the role of doping the masses, rooting illusion, closing prospects of change, and spreading the culture of helplessness and hopelessness, and that misery is a doomed fate set by God... Nothing was to prevent the downtrodden from uprooting the existing power except such a culture of fear spread by the clergy and termed as "piety"...
On the other hand, the middle-class individuals were always the primary force in the process of the uprising against the ruling groups and of the intellectual liberation...
In the current system, the middle class itself is the one which holds the task of rooting illusion and closing prospects for the change process. A part of the great success of the current capitalist system is that it made the middle class a guard for this system. For it made any change a cause of great concern for the middle class, hence made its individuals the custodians who see in any revolutionary movement against the prevailing system a threat to their economic balance and security.
What was being circulated through the clergy in the past time is being now circulated through the media and academia ...
Thus, the middle class is a matter of survival and existence for the dominant class in the global system. The end of the middle class is a matter of uncovering the process of exploitation and removing the curtain of illusion when the real image becomes vivid in the collective unconscious to the rest of humanity: A dominating minority owns almost everything, and the overwhelming majority are fighting over the crumbs ...

في الماضي كان الإكليروس يتولون تخدير الشعوب وتجذير الوهم وإغلاق آفاق التغيير ونشر ثقافة انعدام الأمل وبأن الشقاء المادي قضاء وقدر من الله... فما من شيء كان ليمنع المسحوقين من اقتلاع السلطة القائمة سوى ثقافة الخوف التي ينشرها الإكليروس واصطلح على تسميتها ب"الورع"...
بالمقابل، فإن أفراد الطبقة الوسطى كانوا دائماً القوة الأساسية في سيرورة الانتفاض على الفئات الحاكمة والتحرّر الفكري...
أما في السيستم الحالي، فإن الطبقة الوسطى هي التي تتولى عملية تجذير الوهم وإغلاق آفاق التغيير. فجزء كبير من نجاح السيستم الرأسمالي الحالي هو في جعله الطبقة الوسطى حارساً لهذا السيستم. فهو جعل من أي تغيير مبعثاً على القلق الكبير، فأمست الطبقة الوسطى هي الحارس الأمين الذي يرى في أي حركة ثورية بوجه السيستم السائد خطراً على توازنه وأمانه الاقتصادي. وما كان يعمّم من خلال الإكليروس أمسى يعمّم من خلال وسائل الإعلام والأكاديميا...
وبالتالي فإن بقاء الطبقة الوسطى هو مسألة وجود بالنسبة للفئة المهيمنة على السيستم العالمي. ففناء الطبقة الوسطى هو بمثابة إماطة اللثام عن عملية الإستغلال، إزاحة ستارة الوهم فتتوضح الصورة في اللاوعي الجمعي لباقي البشرية: قلة مسيطرة تملك تقريباً كلّ شيء، وأكثرية ساحقة تتقاتل على الفُتات...
